Elks Lodge #2606 is proud to be a Commemorative Partner of the DoD

in honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War

We will never forget those who have served our country.  Thank you for your service.

NEW! At the first lodge meeting of each month (Tuesdays at 7:00 pm in the restaurant) will be held a Viet Nam 50th Anniversary recognition for our lodge Viet Nam era members.  If you are a Viet Nam veteran, and have not received the collectors pin from the DoD, please email:, subject Elk meeting.  We will be in contact with you about the pin.

"Welcome Home Viet Nam Veterans Day".

In October, Elk Bob Hahn hosted a reunion from his Viet Nam Navy ship crew at the Lodge.  Then, they toured the Military Heritage Museum where  Elk C.J. Metcalfe awarded the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Partners Pin to each Veteran.  It was a memorable time for all. 

Feeding a hot home cooked meal to the homeless veterans in January 2017.


To recognize those Veterans who have received the Purple Heart, the Board of Charlotte County Commissioners would like to acknowledge you with a certificate. For further information, please email Elk "C.J" Metcalfe at

Elks Lodge #2606 Veteran Committee is involved in various outreaches to Veterans in the community.  The needs are many.  Please contact the Veteran Committee for any further assistance.  Some of the new or slightly used things we can use are:

*Eating utensils (dishes, silverware, mixing bowls)

FOOD DRIVE  for homeless veterans

Veterans Village is in need of cans of 'non-vegetable' food, such as Beef Stew, Chicken Chow Mein, Tuna, canned ham, sausages, sardines, etc.  Please drop off your donation to: Veterans Village, 1250 Taylor Rd., Punta Gorda, in building #3 (lower level "Community Room".  Many of the veterans have dental issues, and healthy, easy to eat, diabetic food is needed.  Every can is greatly appreciated.  Thank you for giving!
